December Sales Released by Volkswagen of America
Total sales for 2015 and December have been released by Volkswagen of America, Inc. (VWoA). For December, total sales reached 30,956 units. And for the year, the brand closed out 2015 with 349,440 units sold. Along with the impressive totals, the Golf family, and the Tiguan had best-ever monthly and annual results.
Sales of the Tiguan in December were 131.6 percent higher than the previous year reaching 4,900 units sold for the month. Annual sales for the model were up 42.7 percent to reach 35,8436 units.
December sales for the Golf line increased by 30 percent, reaching 5,715 units. Total sales for the year were up 94 percent to reach 65,308 units. The biggest seller of the group was the Golf GTI. Sales of this vehicle came to 2,369 for December, and 23,669 for 2015.

Volkswagen BUDD-e Concept Car
With much anticipation from car enthusiasts, Volkswagen recently unveiled its latest concept in innovative and electric mobility. It’s called BUDD-e and it pays homage to where the brand has been as well as shows where it would like to go.
With such a long list of extremely incredible features, it’s hard to say what was the most impressive. Although, one of the most innovative features wasn’t the 373-mile all-electric range, but rather the mobile interface that enables the vehicle to be more connected than ever to the world around it.
The exterior design only continues to impress with a “Nevada White” and “Phoenix Copper” paint scheme that catches the eye as soon as it comes into view. The interior gets even more impressive with touchscreen displays throughout the car that connect drivers or passengers to things like their tablets or even homes. The system is also equipped with additional voice and gesture controls. Saying “Hello BUDD-e” initiates the voice control system and recognized commands such as “turn the heat up a bit, please”. What’s more is, BUDD-e can even recognize where in the vehicle the command is coming from and cater to the specific area of the car.
VW described the system by saying “With BUDD-e, passengers will be able to access their homes and workplaces to perform tasks such as controlling the air conditioning, turning lights on or off, or simply looking to see if their kids are home yet.” VW also plans to make things even easier by one day, creating a system where owners won’t even have to turn on their lights at home, but instead BUDD-e will do it automatically as the vehicle approaches the home.
Although BUDD-e is only a concept, for now, we look forward to seeing it progress in the future and we hope to see it head for production sometime in the near future.

Volkswagen Teases CES Debut Of New Microbus
The 2016 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is taking place this week and Volkswagen has already teased that they will be presenting a new concept vehicle that they say will be their new approach in the world of e-mobility. Over the past couple of weeks they have released a few tweets with teaser picks at this new vehicle that they say will offer “long-distance electromobility” in the form of a new microbus.
The brand also released a tweet that revealed that the name of this new concept would be “BUDD.e” and Volkswagen enthusiasts everywhere are looking forward to the official reveal of this all-new model which is scheduled to take place this Wednesday.
There is no word on whether or not this new concept will be made into a production model but we will at least be offered a look into the direction that the brand is planning on going.

Volkswagen Releases Advertisement For App-Connect
The 2016 Volkswagen Passat come with a number of impressive standard and available features and technologies that make your traveling experience much more enjoyable. In order to highlight some of these new technologies and their traveling benefits, Volkswagen has released three new advertisements. In one of the advertisements, the brand focuses on the App-Connect feature. This allows you to test hands-free while you are driving, so that you can stay connected while on the go while never taking your hands off the wheel or eyes off the road.
In this new advertisement, we see two brothers try to use this feature to their advantage when their dad leaves them alone in the car to run into the store. The duo thinks that they are being real slick until they discover their mistake and it ends up backfiring on them.
